Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh was questioned by Bidhannagar police in connection with the multi-crore Saradha Group chit fund scam Wednesday. The Rajya Sabha member, who was in Delhi, had to rush to Kolkata after he was asked to appear before the investigators within six hours. This is the fifth time Ghosh has been questioned by the investigators in the past 10 days since his outburst against Trinamool policies and some party leaders.

“Police keep asking the same questions to me. A team of officers read out questions from a questionnaire, and I answer to that,” Ghosh said before reaching Bidhannagar.

Somnath Dutta,a close aide of Ghosh and a senior official of Saradha Group, was arrested last week. Trinamool sources said that Ghosh’s arrest is imminent as party chief Mamata Banerjee has given approval to it.
