PMT racket: 1 more PEB official held

The police Friday arrested one more government employee,assistant programmer C K Mishra,in connection with the manipulation of the Madhya Pradesh Pre-Medical Test. Investigators will now clone the hard disk of the main server seized from the headquarters of the Professional Examination Board PEB. Mishra is third PEB official to be arrested. System analysts Nitin Mahindra and Ajay Kumar Sen were nabbed by the Indore crime branch two days ago.

The involvement of PEB officials has raised questions on the credibility of the PMT held on July 7. The results were declared on July 13,days before Indore-based kingpin Dr Jagdish Sagar was arrested. There is already a demand to scrap the results and hold a fresh examination.
