A prosecution witness today told a Delhi court that Surendra Pipara,Group President of Reliance ADAG and an accused in 2G spectrum case,as Director of Swan Telecom (P) Ltd (STPL) had intimated the Registrar of Companies (RoC) about appointment of four additional directors in the firm.
Deposing as a prosecution witness,Mumbai’s Deputy RoC Rajender Singh Meena said the form for intimating RoC about appointment of Shahid Usman Balwa,Vinod Goenka,Asif Balwa and Rajiv Agarwal,all facing trial for their alleged role in the 2G case,as additional directors in STPL was signed by Pipara as its Director.
“I have been shown form 32 filed by the company Swan Telecom (P) Ltd for intimating the appointment of four additional directors in the company with effect from October 1,2007,namely Vinod Kumar Goenka,Shahid Usman Balwa,Asif Yusuf Balwa and Rajiv B Agarwal.
“I find that this form has been digitally signed by Surendra Pipara as Director of the company…,” Meena told Special CBI Judge O P Saini.
During recording of statement,Meena was shown various documents related to STPL,including intimation to RoC about the change in designation of Shahid Balwa from Director to Managing Director.
“I have been shown Form 32 filed by the company,STPL,for intimating the change in designation of Shahid Usman Balwa,as Managing Director,in the company with effect from October 5,2007.
“I find that this form has been digitally signed by Vinod Kumar Goenka,as director of the company,” Meena,whose recording of testimony remained inconclusive,said.
