Paralysed man held over bomb kills himself

A 28-year-old man,who was arrested for allegedly sending a parcel of crude bomb to the house of his ex-lover,committed suicide at his house in Judvadli village of Una taluka in Junagadh district

A 28-year-old man,who was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly sending a parcel of crude bomb to the house of his ex-lover,committed suicide at his house in Judvadli village of Una taluka in Junagadh district on Wednesday.

Kirit Senjalia,who was bed-ridden due to paralysis,consumed poison hours before he was to be produced before a local court,the police said. He was put under house arrest on Tuesday evening after the police found evidence against him for sending the parcel.

The police said they recovered a suicide note wherein Senjalia confessed to have sent the parcel bomb. He,in the note,requested the police not to harass his parents saying they were not involved in the incident. After his arrest on Tuesday,the police had deployed a constable at his house. “It is also a matter of investigation as to how and when he got poison when he was bed-ridden,” the police said.
