Pak violates ceasefire again,troops target Rajouri

No loss to life or injury was reported.

For the 19th time in September alone,Pakistan troops violated the 2003 ceasefire agreement,opening fire on Indian posts in Rajouri district along the Line of Control.

On Sunday,Defence Spokesman S N Acharya said,“Pakistan troops opened fire from small and automatic weapons in Bamirpur-Bhimbbergali sub-sector of Rajouri district at 9.55 pm. Indian troops retaliated and the exchange lasted till around 2 am.”

No loss to life or injury was reported,he said.

Six jawans had been killed and 14 people injured in firing on forward posts,civilian areas and patrol parties along the LoC in August.

According to the Defence Ministry,there have been 93 violations in 2012,51 in 2011 and 44 in 2010. In 2013 there have been 97 incidents already.
