ONGC GM with 15 accounts in CBI net for taking bribe

A general manager of ONGC Ltd posted at Sivasagar in upper Assam has been sent to 15 days judicial custody by a special CBI court here after he was arrested on charges of demanding and accepting bribe from a contractor.

P K Bora was caught redhanded while accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000 from the contractor who had lodged a complaint with the CBI.

The CBI also carried out a search in his office and residence,during which the sleuths found as many as 15 bank accounts in the name of the general manager apart from recovering Rs 3.6 lakh in cash and documents relating to six properties.
