Post-retirement avenues for top cops are looking up. Take the case of former CISF director general S I S Ahmed. Having retired from the paramilitary force,Ahmed is now heading the security set up for the GMR group which is modernising the Delhi airport. However, recently, the ex-cop was in for some downgrade. As CISF DG,Ahmed was once responsible for the airports overall security and used to attend meetings of the Committee of Secretaries during emergency situations like hijacks. But during the recent hijack scare aboard an IndiGo fight,Ahmed, whos the Executive Director (Security) at GMR now, found himself attending a crisis meeting being conducted at a much lower tier. But then, everything comes for a price.
