For those planning to get a tattoo of Sikh religious symbols or Gurbani sayings,heres a warning: Akal Takht,the supreme temporal seat of Sikhs,Monday announced it will seek to register a case under section 295 A (hurting religious sentiments of a community) against those who opt for Sikh religious tattoos.
Akal Takht chief Gurbachan Singh announced this after the five Sikh High Priests met Monday to decide on an apology from actor Neeru Bajwa for tattooing Gurbani verses on her arm. Bajwa has apologised for hurting Sikh sentiments. Warning all those going in for such tattoos,Singh said: Only apology will not do now. Akal Takht will get a case registered against those who,irrespective of their religion,get Sikh religious tattoos on their body.
