The NIA has summoned two Darbhanga youths for questioning in connection with Bodhgaya serial blasts. Farooq,an orchestra artist from Bakri Bazar area of Manigacchi and Shashi Ranjan Sahu,a mobile shop owner from the same area, have been called by the investigating agency.

Darbhanga Senior Superintendent of Police Upendra Kumar Sharma said: “Complying to an NIA notice,a Darbhanga police team picked up Farooq and Sahu two days ago and handed them over the same day to the agency probing the Bodhgaya blasts for their interrogation.”

He said the NIA had earlier sent a notice to the Darbhanga police asking it to produce the two suspects before it for questioning in connection with the last month’s blasts.

Sharma clarified that the two suspects had neither been detained nor arrested by the Darbhanga police, but they were picked up on the NIA’s directive.
