The NIA arrested a leader of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, the youth wing of the BJP,from Mhow near Indore on Saturday in connection with the murder of former RSS pracharak Sunil Joshi in 2007. “The accused identified as Jitendra Sharma,vice-president of BJYM Indore district rural unit, was taken into custody after a lengthy interrogation,” said an NIA official.

Joshi,a suspect in the Samjhauta Express and Malegaon blasts case, was killed at Dewas in December 29,2007. The NIA has also named Rajender Pehalwan and Lokesh Sharma, both known to Joshi,as the co-accused in the case. Soon after their arrest last year, the agency had also carried out raids at the house of Jitender who reportedly is a cousin of Lokesh.

Jitender,a lawyer by profession, had represented Lokesh in the 2007 Ajmer Dargah,Samjhauta and 2006 Malegaon blasts cases in various courts.
