New Delhi treating Kashmir as a colony: Rashid

Independent legislator Engineer Abdul Rashid on Tuesday accused New Delhi of treating Kashmir as a colony,saying it was making the state politicians play to its tunes like the actors of a circus.

New Delhi is treating Kashmir as its colony,which has resulted in the loss of credibility of the Assembly, said Rashid,who represents the Langate Assembly constituency. New Delhi is exploiting Kashmiris and has given them a sense of defeat once more.

Rashids tirade against New Delhi and the political leadership of Kashmir came after the House failed to discuss the resolution brought by him seeking clemency for Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru. Since then,he has not attended the Assembly in protest.
