The Nationalist Congress Party would launch the Rashtravadi Yuvati Congress (RYC) wing next month to provide a political platform for women in the 18-35 age group.
The wing,to be launched on June 10 by NCP chief Sharad Pawar, will focus on personal and collective issues of women. Issues like female foeticide, providing hostels for women at subsidised rates in the district and regional level and health issues will be given priority, RYC coordinator Minal Jagdale said. RYC is the idea of NCP MP from Baramati Supriya Sule,Pawars daughter.
She had earlier taken the initiative of sensitising masses on female foeticide through awareness campaigns in Pune.
