National youth meet begins at IIM-Indore

A three-day National Youth Conference to commemorate the 146th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda began at the IIM-Indore premises on Monday.

The objective of the event is to sensitise the youth to issues of national concern and to identify the role that they must play to take India forward in its march towards being counted among the best.

The conference will feature guest lectures by eminent personalities on subjects such as economic reforms,micro-finance,spirituality,science and technology,rural health and agriculture.

The guest lecturers will include former director CBI and director-general of the National Human Rights Commission D R Kaarhikeyan; former chairman and managing director of ONGC Subir Raha; former director of AIIMS Dr P Venugopal; V-C and Director of BITS Pilani L K Maheswari and Editor-in-Chief of the Express group Shekhar Gupta.
