‘Name 038; shame’ insider trading offenders,says Sebi advisory board

Sebis International Advisory Board has suggested steps like naming and shaming of culprits,a whistleblower framework and heavy penalties to deal with insider trading and other offences in securities market.

The board which met in Bangalore asked Sebi to consider provisions for compensating victims of insider trading offences and reject such cases for any kind of settlement under the consent mechanism.
