Mizoram Congress president Lal Thanhawla was on Wednesday unanimously elected leader of the Congress legislature party,said Luizinho Faleiro,AICC general secretary and in-charge of north-eastern states.
The decision by the 32 new Congress MLAs (the party won 33 seats,with Lal Thanhawla winning two) paves the way for swearing-in of the state president as Chief Minister for a fifth time Saturday.
The Congress veteran said his cabinet members and parliamentary secretaries would be made known on the same day.
