Mobile accessories and handset maker Maxx mobile today launched its ‘Khamoshhh’ series with two models, which can suppress background noise.

“Crowded restaurants, busy offices, chaotic commutes make it difficult to have a quiet conversation.

In India, where there is still a very high preference and dependence on voice calls,we believe feature-rich yet affordable ‘Khamoshhh’ series is the perfect device for Indian audience,” Maxx Group Chairman and Managing Director Ajjay Agarwal said here.

The dual-sim bar phone,Maxx MX401 is priced at Rs 2,833 and the dual-sim qwerty keypad phone Maxx MQ601 is priced at Rs 2,970.

The phones use sound array technology (SAM) that uses innovative signal processing technique to suppress ambient noises and eliminate echoes.

“The phones can suppress up to 80 decibel of noise and can filter the sound from both the ends (the caller and receiver),so that both can listen to the voice clearly,” Maxx Group Vice President Product Development Manish Rewani said.

The Maxx MX401 has a 1500mAh battery and has a talk time of up to 5.5 hours and stand by time of 450 hours, while the MQ601 has a 1000mAh battery that enables a user to talk for 4.5 hours and has a stand by time of 350 hours.
