LoC: BSF officer killed in Pak firing

Sources said the BSF officer was injured in the morning,while the civilian,Mohammad Taj,46,in the afternoon in Dehri area.

Two people,including a BSF officer,were injured in Poonch district during Pakistani firing and shelling from across the LoC on Tuesday.

Sources said the BSF officer was injured in the morning,while the civilian,Mohammad Taj,46,in the afternoon in Dehri area. Firing from across the LoC restarted at 11 pm Monday night and continued till 3 am. Firing resumed again six hours later at 9 am,sources said,adding that it was continuing till last reports came in the evening. The Pakistani troops were using small,automatic weapons and mortars. The unprovoked firing restarted Sunday from 6.25 am to 10 am after a lull of three days. Thereafter firing resumed in Mandi and Garhi areas of Poonch from 11.30 pm to 3.45 am.
