Jabra EasyCall

Jabra launched a couple of compact bluetooth headsets – EasyGo and EasyCall. Quite unlike its previous product – Jabra Wave. While the Wave was a large,over-the-ear bluetooth headset both EasyGo and EasyCall are much more compact and hence suitable for professionals. Users can stream GPS directions,songs and podcasts as the headsets come with A2DP multimedia streaming technology. These come with an optional ear hook and different sizes of ear-tips for a good fit.

The company claims six hours of talktime and eight hours of standby battery life.

Portronics Limebox

The Portronics Limebox is a device which hopes to make the idiot box smart by allowing users to run Android on TV. It has a good range of connectivity options including SD card,USB ports,HDMI,etc. It supports 1080-pixel video playback out of the box and can download a range of apps from the Android market. The user interface has been modified to suit televisions. Lock screens have been removed so that navigation becomes simple. It comes with a 1.2GHz processor,512 MB of RAM,4GB storage and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).


A projector is no good if it is not bright. LG Electronics recently launched two high-brightness projectors — BX503B and BX403B in India. These high resolution projectors claim to provide good display even at short projection distances. Both projectors are LAN-enabled and have a lamp life of 2,000 hrs (normal mode) and 2,500 hrs (eco mode). These projectors should be good for home theatre enthusiasts. Both projectors weigh 5.8 kg. The BX403B costs Rs 1,10,000.

Chat buddies for Nimbuzz

Instant messaging application Nimbuzz has come up with additions to N-World – Nimbuzz’ app portal. N-World offers ‘chat buddies’ or ‘bots’ for cricket,Wikipedia,IBNLive (news),Cardekho,IMDB (movies),YouTube,Twitter and more. Install the ‘bots’ and get updates when you need. Available for iPhone,Android,Windows and Mac OS,the portal also offers games and astrology besides the avatars to enhance user experience.
