Knee injury lets SRK take a breather

Khan is spending some quality time with his family in London,after an intensive shoot for Ra.One.

After months of intensive training and shooting for his ambitious home production Ra.One and Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2,Shah Rukh Khan is all set to recuperate from his knee injury and spend some quality time with his family in London.

The actor,who always likes to keep himself busy,is currently enjoying the summer at UK and plans to do nothing at all. He recently tweeted,“In the mode of doing nothing. sometimes listless..aimless…workless makes it the most satisfying experience of the day.”

It’s a known fact that King Khan is a friend of R & B singer Akon and has roped him in for a song in Ra.One. But the superstar is also a great fan of US hip-hop band Black-Eyed Peas and recently took his kids to see them perform in London. He was excited to meet his favourite group and attend his first live concert.

After meeting the band members backstage,he was all praises for them and tweeted,“Will I Am & Fergi were so gracious. their concert rocked…awesome. fergi said she has seen me act with the actress with light pretty eyes…my first concert…wot an initiation! loved it.”

SRK will resume work in the third week of July when he will shoot for the last schedule of Ra.One. Later,the superstar will start promoting the super-hero flick that will release in Diwali and Akhtar’s Don 2 that will hit the screens in December.

Sonakshi turns cover-girl!

Sonakshi Sinha is on a roll. The doe-eyed beauty is on the cover of the latest issue of an international fashion and lifestyle magazine. The actress,who lost 30 kilos before she joined Bollywood,is looking resplendent in a white outfit on the fashion bible’s cover and talks about her love for films.

Sonakshi was also at her effervescent best as she fielded all the questions by Simi Garewal adeptly on the latter’s show Simi Selects India’s Most Desirable and looked striking in a baby pink gown.


The 23-year-old is taking a much-needed break for 10 days to an undisclosed location before she starts shooting for the third schedule of Shirish Kunder’s Joker. The actress,who proudly calls herself Shotgun Junior and was also set to star opposite Kamal Haasan in Vishwapooram,might have to juggle her dates for the tri-lingual film as the movie has been postponed.

Vishwapooram was supposed to take off in May but has now been delayed due to differences between the director and Kamal Haasan,who is producing the film. In August,Sonakshi will also start shooting for Prabhu Deva’s Rowdy Rathore that is being produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Salman promotes Chillar Party

Riding high on the success of Ready,Salman Khan is now going all out to promote his maiden production Chillar Party that he is co-producing under his banner Salman Khan Being Human Productions along with UTV Motion Pictures.


The hunky actor was so taken in by the film,which revolves around eight kids and a dog,that he decided to produce it immediately after watching it. Salman is currently seen in the promo wherein he asks one of the eight boys in his inimitable style,“Tu chaddi kyon nahin pehenta hain?”

The star,who is currently filming brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri’s Bodyguard,will also start shooting for Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger this month. He will be shooting some action sequences in Iraq for the film that sees him teaming up with former lady-love Katrina Kaif.

The duo was last seen together in an item number in Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan. Salman,who is known for his daredevil action sequences,will also shoot with a real tiger for his brother Sohail Khan’s adventure drama Sher Khan.
