Justice Ganguly gets ‘threat letter’ from law clerk

The letter reportedly also termed Justice Ganguly as a “CPM agent”.

West Bengal Human Rights Commission chairman Justice (retd) A K Ganguly Wednesday sent an official complaint to the chairman of state law clerk’s council after having received a letter from a law clerk of Burdwan court reportedly threatening him to lodge a “molestation” complaint against him.

WBHRC registrar Rabindranath Samanta said,“The WBHRC office received a letter last week from a person identifying herself as one Ashima Malik,a law clerk working in Burdwan court. In the letter,she said she would file a molestation complaint against Justice Ganguly if he does not stop going against the state government.” The letter was placed before the WBHRC chairman Wednesday. Samanta added the chairman has instructed the council to submit a report to the WBHRC in four weeks.
