Claiming the support of 42 legislators in a House of 81,Hemant Soren is likely to meet Jharkhand Governor Syed Ahmed on Tuesday to stake claim to form government.
Hemant will meet the Governor at around 12 in the afternoon to stake claim to form a government, said JMM general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya.
The JMM is still adding more to its ranks,trying to gain the support of 44 legislators,due to the potential absence of its two legislators running from the law Nalin Soren and Sita Soren. The party has 18 legislators,the Congress has 13 and RJD 5. The JMM needs the support of six Independent/ single-legislator parties to touch 42. At least two of them former CM Madhu Kodas wife Geeta and Marxist Coordination Committee legislator Arup Chatterjee have been driving a hard bargain.
Initially,the JMM and the Congress had decided to add only RJD members to the Cabinet. Now,some Independents may sneak in.
