The Supreme Court on Tuesday issued notice to the Centre on a PIL filed by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy challenging the Jet-Etihad Airways deal.
A bench of Chief Justice P Sathasivam and Ranjan Gogoi decided to seek response from the Union Governments Finance,Commerce and External Affair Ministries on Swamys petition alleging that the deal had been allowed by giving a go-by to all rules and norms.
We have to consider your petition. We will issue notice. Let the other side file their response, the court told Swamy.
The bench also sought response from FIPB,DIPP,DGCA,Jet Airways and Etihad Airways.
