The digging of graves to locate remains of 11 Japanese soldiers of the World War II in the Guwahati War Cemetery has come to an end with the state forensic science laboratory confirming that some portions of decomposed bones and other human body parts have been found.

“Samples of what we think are remains of human bodies have been found in all but two of the nine graves that have been dug up during the four-day operation that ended yesterday. We are submitting our final report to the authorities on Monday,” a forensic laboratory official said.
