Jaipur based ‘The Polo Company’ creates ‘Polo Day Out’,country’s first Polo carnival offering international polo game with top class music acts,fashion shows & after parties.

The Polo Company,promoters of one of India’s most glamorous “sportainment” property “Polo Day Out” are back with a bang for its second chapter. Polo Day Out is India’s first & largest Polo carnival offering Polo along with a lot other entertainment variants in a true carnival format. In quest to provide accessibility to a large pool of ‘yet deprived’ Polo aspirants,the property serves entertainment along the lines of IPL and the F1 extravaganza.

Polo Day Out is an initiative towards promoting the game to a much wider audience base. Considering most Polo events are restricted only to the prime & privileged; PDO has brought in a much desired change by designing an event that has a universal appeal,enticing all age groups & is open for all the ‘polo enthusiasts’ at a nominal ticket price,hence encouraging wider participation. The carnival concept of Polo Day Out comprises of an international 3 men Polo match followed by stunt shows,fashion exhibits & top class music acts; a concept that’s very fresh to India & offers an altogether new stream of entertainment. Like sport carnivals in US,Europe & Australia,Polo Day Out,opens doors for sports tourism in India,as polo is professionally being played in more than 16 countries in the world.

Commenting on the second chapter,Ankur Mishra,CEO,The Polo Company said “Polo has been very close to my heart as I have been associated with the sport for many years now,having also professionally playing the sport for a while. The concept of Polo Day Out is new to India but has been very successful in other countries. Our idea is to generate momentum & sustainability for the sport by providing it with an alternate face that serves polo in a much entertaining format,to suit the likes of wide Indian stratum. It fills me with immense pride to have gained opportunity to close two of the most prestigious Polo seasons in India namely Jodhpur and Jaipur Polo Season. Being appreciated by the fraternity is an honour but the hard task of popularising the game amongst the people is still at hand and we are sure we can take the popularity of the game to the next level”.

The Polo Company hosted the first successful Polo Day Out event in Jaipur in the beginning of the year which saw massive participation from crème-a-la crème to the aspirational urban youth,thus giving the sport the much needed shot in the arm. Keeping alive the aristocracy of the game,the carnival aims at introducing Polo to the ‘youth’ not just as a spectator sport but also a career defining opportunity & has gauged tremendous public response to it. The brands associated during the Jaipur event included Ford,Black Dog,Kingfisher and Fortis to name a few and for the next two seasons,top luxury as well as aspirational brands are in the process of being finalized for this unique consortium of sport,music & fashion enthusiasts.
