Hurriyat inducts organisation led by non-Muslim

The induction is part of Hurriyats plan to spread into the Jammu region.

In a first,the Hurriyat Conference led by Syed Ali Shah Geelani has inducted an organisation,led by a non-Muslim,into its fold. Social Peace Forum SPF,a Jammu-based party led by Davinder Singh,has become the 11th constituent of the separatist amalgam. The induction is part of Hurriyats plan to spread into the Jammu region.

SPF had applied for almost a year ago, Hurriyat spokesperson Ayaz Akbar told The Indian Express. Geelani sahib had formed a committee to look into it. They have been inducted into the amalgam in a meeting of Hurriyats executive council. Geelanis sahib has also seconded the decision. Social Peace Forum is the second Jammu-based organisation that has joined the Hurriyat Conference.
