Huawei Technologies launches smartphone Ascend Mate in India,prices it at Rs 24,900

Huawei Technologies has launched the Ascend Mate smartphone in India. The smartphone runs Android Jelly Bean 4.1 coupled with Huawei Emotion UI. The USP of Ascend Mate is its huge screen. The device has 73 percent screen-to-body ratio,which maximises the ease of viewing emails,documents,playing games or watching movies. The 6.1-inch HD IPS display has 1280720 pixels resolution that optimises viewing experience. The images displayed are clear and sharp. Huawei calls the smartphone “pocket cinema” device.

The smartphone has Huawei’s Quick Power Control and Automated Discontinuous Reception for battery efficiency. Huawei says the device’s 4050mAh battery gives upto 9 days of standby time. On ordinary usage,Huawei says,Ascend Mate’s battery lasts upto two days.

Huawei Ascend Mate’s specs include 1.5GHz processor,2GB RAM,8-megapixel rear camera and 1-megapixel front camera. It has 8GB memory expandable up to 40 GB with a microSD card.

Huawei Ascend Mate will be available at retail outlets and online stores at a price of Rs 24,900.
