Govt notice to Kerala daily for publishing ‘anti-national’ reports

The notice issued by Kozhikode Additional DM directed the printer to explain why action should not be initiated.

The Kerala government has served a notice to Malayalam daily Thejas — mouthpiece of Muslim outfit,Popular Front of India — asking it to explain why action should not be taken against the newspaper for publishing reports “that seriously affect the national unity and interest of the country”. The notice issued by Kozhikode Additional DM directed the printer to explain why action should not be initiated under section 8(B) of the Press and Registration of Books Act,1867.
