Four Delhi Police teams fanned out to arrest former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda after he failed to appear for questioning today. Police said they would seek a non-bailable warrant against the politician.
Police want to question Kanda for allegedly abetting the suicide of Geetika Sharma,a former employee of his now defunct MDLR Airlines.
We summoned Kanda but he did not turn up. We have sent teams to arrest him since he is absconding, DCP (N-W) P Karunakaran said.
A late night PTI report said Kanda had applied for anticipatory bail.
Police arrested Kandas aide Aruna Chadha today. Section 120B (criminal conspiracy) has been added to the FIR, Karunakaran said.
