Two days after his residences in Srinagar and Jammu were raided by the Crime Branch,the former chairman of J&Ks Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) Prof Mushtaq Peer surrendered before the police.
Peer is one of the main accused in the Common Entrance Test (CET) scam in which a group of candidates allegedly paid millions of rupees to secure seats in states medical colleges. He (Peer) surrendered on Wednesday morning before the Crime Branch, said a senior official of Crime Branch. Since raids on his residences,he was evading us. We immediately started his questioning.
