Flyers’ grief skyrockets; crackdown eyed

Aviation industry is not making flying a pleasure and govt is facing a passenger backlash.

Domestic flyers can heave a sigh of relief as the government is planning to set up an ombudsman to address their grievances. As of now,there is no dedicated mechanism to deal with passengers complaints.

The idea is to have ombudsman institutions at major cities and towns, said civil aviation secretary Nasim Zaidi.
