FIPB to take call on Tesco,HDFC Bank,Vodafone today

Foreign investors pumped in more than Rs 15,500 crore ($2.5 billion) in equities this month.

New Delhi: The Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) will on Monday take a call on Tesco’s proposal to enter India’s multi-brand retail segment and HDFC Bank’s request for raising foreign investment holding limit. A decision on Vodafone’s application is also likely to be taken. PTI

New Delhi: Foreign investors pumped in more than Rs 15,500 crore ($2.5 billion) in equities this month,ahead of the tapering of the US Fed stimulus programme starting in January. FIIs bought shares worth Rs 61,492 crore and sold Rs 45,940 crore till December 27,Sebi data said. PTI
