Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Sukhoi Superjet 100 will be the star attractions at the 3rd International Exhibition And Conference On Civil Aviation India Aviation,2012 to be held in Hyderabad between March 14 and 18.
This will be the first time Boeing 787 Dreamliner will be displayed in India. Expected to be inducted into Air India later this year,the first Dreamliner,painted in Air India colours,will land on the eve of the show and will be on display for three days.
Big names of the aircraft manufacturing industry,Airbus,Boeing,Bombardier,Dassault,Embraer,Gulfstream,Hawker Beechcraft,Piaggio Aero,UAC Sukhoi,Irkut Beriev,would showcase their wares at the show. Embraer,in fact,will use the event to unveil its newest business jets,Phenom 300 and Phenom 100. Russian aerospace giant Irkut will be participating in the show for the first time.
A host of helicopter manufacturers that are eyeing the Indian market,like Augusta Westland,Bell-Textron group,Eurocopter,UTC Sikorsky in collaboration with Tata Advanced Systems Limited,Sikorsky is developing Hyderabad as the hub for producing S-92 Superhawk helicopters by the end of 2013 will also be at the show with their birds. In all,nearly 250 exhibitors from 18 countries will showcase more than two dozen types of aircraft.
This year,the United Kingdom has been invited as a partner country to the show,France as focus country and USA as the guest country.
Some airlines from the past two years,like Kingfisher Airlines,are skipping the show this year.
Indian Aviation 2012,organised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and FICCI,will be inaugurated on March 14 by Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh.
