Diplomat attack: India seeks nod to send team to Iran

With visiting Iran Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Akbar Salehi refuting allegations of attack on the Israeli diplomat’s wife in Delhi in February this year

With visiting Iran Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Akbar Salehi refuting allegations of attack on the Israeli diplomat’s wife in Delhi in February this year,India requested him for permission to send a team of police investigators to Tehran,official sources said here on Thursday. Sources said Salehi reportedly was told Minister for External Affairs S M Krishna that he would “look into the request”.

The Delhi Police had approached the Home Ministry in April this year for permission to send a team to Tehran,and had got approval but no team was sent.
