Dia Mirza makes her debut in Bengali films with Paanch Adhyay. And for the first time ever,an ‘outside’ actor is dubbing her own lines for the film. Earlier the voices of Aishwarya Rai in Chokher Bali or Manisha Koirala in Khela,Bipasha Basu (Shob Choritro Kalponik) were dubbed by local actresses or voice artistes.

Dia,whose mother is a Bengali, plays the half-Bengali Ishita,an English school teacher in the film co-starring Priyanshu Chatterjee and the legend Soumitra Chatterjee. Written and directed by first-timer Pratim D Gupta, the film has music by Shantanu Moitra. It is currently in post-production and may release during summer this year.
