Dausa MP,Kirori Lal Meena,Thursday announced the formation of a third front in the state under the banner of PA Sangmas National Peoples Party (NPP). An independent candidate,he said in a rally at Udaipur that he would contest the upcoming Assembly polls under the new party.
Slamming the BJP and the Congress in the state,Meena said,This time the Chief Minister will be neither BJPs Vasundhara Raje nor Congresss Ashok Gehlot but the farmers son under the banner of NPP.
He said both national parties have only widened the social and caste divide in the state. Raje for her own benefit pitted the Gurjjars against the Meenas while the Hindus and Muslims in Gopalgarh clashed because of Ashok Gehlot, he alleged.
Legislator Hanuman Beniwal and tribal leaders from Chhattisgarh Arvind Natam and Abdul Ghaffar were also present at the rally. Meenas announcement comes in the wake of NPPs defeat in their home ground as the party managed to win just one seat in the Meghalaya Assembly polls on Thursday.
