Claiming that economic revival in Bihar had taken place with central funds, the Congress on Wednesday asked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to refrain from taking credit for development work in the state and asked him to stop his ongoing ‘Vishwas Yatra’.

” The people of Bihar are aware that development work in the state has taken place with central funds,” senior Congress leader and MLC Mahachandra Prasad Singh told reporters here.

The Chief Minister too knows that the Centre has been a catalyst behind the infrastructure development in Bihar, yet he has been taking out various yatras across the state to highlight the achievements of the NDA government,he said.

He also alleged that there was a massive corruption in the implementation of MGNREGA works in Lakhisarai district with about 90 per cent funds being taken by various parties in the name of work that did not take place at all.

Singh, who returned from a tour of six districts, claimed that a wave in favour of the Congress was sweeping the state in the run up to the assembly polls due later this year.
