Chief Minister V S Achuthanandans allegation that the late PM Rajiv Gandhi was responsible for the 1984 anti-Sikh riots has come under sharp criticism from the Congress. The CM had on Saturday said that Rajiv had led the Sikh massacre in Delhi and Punjab. He was no better than Sanjay Gandhi.
The CM also said that Rajiv had helped Union Carbide chief Warren Anderson escape after the Bhopal gas tragedy. Kerala Congress chief Ramesh Chennithala said the CM should apologise for his remarks. When Indira was killed,Rajiv was away from Delhi. He had asked us to visit the places where trouble had erupted.
