The Congress will contest 81 of Keralas 140 seats,leaving 24 to the Indian Union Muslim League,the second largest party in the United Democratic Front.
The Congress announced the arrangement even as it struggled to strike a deal with the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal.
The Kerala Congress (M) will contest 15 seats,the Socialist Janta seven,the Janadhipathya Samrakshana Samithi (JSS) four,the Kerala Congress (Jacob) and the CMP three each,the Kerala Congress (B) two,and the RSP one.
The LDF had announced its breakup earlier,with the CPM contesting 93 seats.
A new entrant in the fray is the Social Democratic Party of India,an offshoot of the Popular Front of India,which has announced candidates for 42 of the 140 constituencies.
The SDPI will extend support to Kerala Dalit Panthers,Lok Janasakthi Party and Republican Party of India,the party said.
