Charlie Chaplins granddaughter in Rajshree Ojhas Chaurahen
Charlie Chaplins granddaughter Kiera will make her debut in Rajshree Ohjas dream project Chaurahen.
Charlie Chaplins granddaughter Kiera will make her debut in Rajshree Ohjas dream project Chaurahen. The director states,Kiera came down to Kolkata to shoot the film. She has an important role. Watch out for her performance.
However,Rajshree is happy that her film has finally being released. Starring Soha Ali Khan,Ankur Khanna,Victor Banerjee,Rupa Ganguly and Shayan Munshi, the film was ready four years ago in 2007. In 2008,it went to various film festivals across the globe and was set for a 2009 release but got delayed. Rajshree says,I am so happy that the film will finally see the light of day. I could not release the film due to budget constraints. Thats when this project,PVR Directors Cut,came to my rescue, and thanks to them I could release the film. Our pursestrings are still tight and thats the reason why theres no great buzz around the film.
Quiz her whether the romantic film will have relevance four years later and she quips,Love is,and will always bea universal theme.
Once Chaurahen hits the silver-screen on March 16,Rajshree plans to start work on her next project,an untitled Bengali film. I approached Sharmila Tagore for a role in the film and she happily agreed. The rest of the cast is yet to be finalised. If everything goes as per plan, the film will go on the floors soon, she says.
