Cauvery Authority meet soon,Centre tells Supreme Court

The affidavit has also supported Tamil Nadus argument that it suffered huge deficit of rain water due to a bad monsoon.

The central government has informed the Supreme Court that a meeting of the Cauvery River Authority (CRA),headed by the Prime Minister,will soon be convened to consider Tamil Nadus request for release of water. The Centre,in its affidavit,has said that a date will be fixed after a consent is obtained on the proposed meeting by all states concerned. The affidavit has also supported Tamil Nadus argument that it suffered huge deficit of rain water due to a bad monsoon.
