The local BSNL circle,which is planning to introduce 4G and telephone video conferencing in near future,has to recover dues of Rs 20 crores from defaulters since 1990-95,a top official said today.
Over 20,000 BSNL customers including hundreds of government connections are defaulters since 1990-95,its newly posted General Manager Ganeshchandra Pandey told reporters here.
BSNL was taking up legal action against the defaulters in Indore circle covering Depalpur,Mhow,Sanver and Indore cities,Pandey said,adding the department was also ensuring other strategy to recover the dues on account of non-payment by defaulters.
However,besides this cumulative dues,Indore circle was the cash positive area making Rs 110 crore of cash collection in last fiscal year 2011-12,he said,adding BSNL put a target of cash collection at Rs.165 crore by the end of current FY.
He announced that 4G,fibre to home,voimax-4,video on landline telephone,new exchanges based on WLL,and IT hub would soon be launched in the very circle.
A training scheme for MBA and engineering students would soon be operationalised to impart them technical,business and it base knowledge on a nominal fee of Rs 3000 per month,he said.
Boarding and lodging fee would be separate for the students at BSNL centre,he added.
