Student bodies in Manipur issue fatwa
IMPHAL: Six student bodies in Manipur on Tuesday decided to issue a diktat that would prohibit school and college students from wearing indecent dresses. They said female students should wear Manipuri ankle length dress,Phanek and uniforms above the knee would not be tolerated.
13 die in jeep-truck collision in MP
ASHOKNAGAR: Thirteen people were killed and three injured when their jeep collided with a truck here on Monday night. The stone-laden truck overturned killing the passengers in the jeep. Man strangulates daughters,kills self
NASHIK: One Ghanshyam Borse (29) strangulated his two daughters to death and later committed suicide here on Monday. The girls Urmila (8) and Yogita (3) were strangulated by a nylon rope. The police said the reason behind Ghanshyams step is not known yet.
CRPF personnel hurt in grenade attack
SRINAGAR: A CRPF personnel was among three persons who were injured when militants hurled a grenade at security forces on Tuesday. The police said that militants hurled the grenade at the joint patrolling party of CRPF and police at Chanakhan in Sopore. No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
Army jawans body recovered in Bihar
CHAPRA: Police recovered the body of an Army jawan,Kundan Kumar Singh (25),from Majhanpura village in Bihars Saran district on Tuesday. The body was swollen and bore no injury marks and it appeared to be a case of drug overdose,said police.
