Boy with failed kidneys scores 96% in class 12

Displaying tremendous grit,a 17-year-old boy suffering from failure of both kidneys,scored 96 per cent marks in science in Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education,prompting the state government to offer him free of cost kidney transplantation.

Prabhakar,son of an LIC agent,stood fifth in the state merit list of intermediate examination,whose results were declared Thursday. Describing the boys achievement as remarkable,Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has assured the family of all possible help,an official spokesperson said.

The kidney transplant will be done free of cost. The Chief Minister has consulted Dr Naresh Trehan,CMD of Medanta hospital of Gurgaon,over telephone about it, the spokesperson said.
