The film industry’s planned strike on February 23 to protest the new 10.3 per cent service was cancelled after a meeting between Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and members of the film fraternity. “He suggested that we wait till the budget is out on March 16. We have decided to wait and watch what the government has in store for us,” said Mukesh Bhatt,vice-president of Film Producers’ Guild.
