Boeing agrees to pay Air India 500 mn as compensation

Aircraft maker Boeing has agreed to pay Air India 500 million in compensation on account of delays in delivering 27 on-order 787 Dreamliners. Air India had demanded a compensation of 1 billion,and further negotiations on the matter are in progress.

Deliveries on Air Indias 2005 order for 50 long-range Boeing aircraft worth about 6 billion has been delayed by more than three years.
