A Delhi court has ordered the attachment of actor Raghubir Yadav’s properties for his failure to pay monthly alimony of Rs 40,000 to his estranged wife for the past several months. The counsel for the actor’s wife told the court that Yadav was supposed to pay arrears of alimony of over Rs 10 lakh to his wife Poornima Yadav, who had approached the court in 2006.

The Court of Metropolitan Magistrate Monika Saroha directed the attachment of Yadav’s properties, situated in Jabalpur and Mumbai, for payment of the arrears of alimony and sought the compliance report from the police by September 10.

Poornima Yadav,in her plea, had told the court that she had married Yadav in Jabalpur in June 1988 but he had deserted her in 1995. She said she had been living along with their son in Delhi.
