Anticipatory bail plea of BSY,kin rejected

A special CBI court dismissed the anticipatory bail petitions of former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa,two of his sons and a son-in-law in a case of corruption

A special CBI court on Wednesday dismissed the anticipatory bail petitions of former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa,two of his sons and a son-in-law in a case of corruption allegedly involving a Rs 40 crore kickback from a private mining firms linked to Jindal Steel Works.

Special CBI court judge D R Venkata Sudarshan dismissed the pleas of the BJP leader and his kin on the grounds that only partial investigations into the accusations of bribery had taken place and that the Supreme Court had ordered a full-fledged probe.

The court said Yeddyurappa and his MP son B Y Raghavendra were capable of influencing cases and that dismissal of the plea was for “ensuring free and fair investigation”. Later in the day,Yeddyurappa approached the High Court against the CBI court’s order.
