After Industry Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya,it is the turn of a former BJP minister to be accused of distributing cash when the election code is in force. Party leader in Jabalpur,Anchal Sonkar, was caught on camera and shown on television channels showering currency notes on the occasion of Eid. The Election Commission has served him and the event organisers notices. Sonkar, who was a minister for a short period, lost the 2008 election. He said he was not a liquor baron to distribute cash. He claimed he simply did not have enough to splurge and the money he distributed was given by the organisers as part of a tradition.
