The verdict is out and the ecstatic winners of the Karbonn Mobiles 17th Annual Star Screen Awards share their sentiments.
The Karbonn Mobiles 17th Annual Star Screen Award for Best Cinematography went to Sudeep Chatterjee for Guzaarish.
This is my fourth Screen nomination but my first award. Its my first film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and its amazing how much freedom I got while working with him. I wanted a certain look and my main objective was to depict both,Ethan (Hrithik Roshan)s pain and the joy for living that he wants to give everyone, honestly. With Guzaarish,I realised the difference it makes to your work when you have an honest director as well as an honest actor. – Sudeep Chatterjee
The Karbonn Mobiles 17th Annual Star Screen Award for Best Editing went to Namrata Rao for Band Baaja Baarat.
I am very happy with this award as the other nominations were equally good. Its my first nomination and my first win. Everybody around me said that I would win because I had three out of five nominations, but I was not sure about it myself. This award has given me recognition and I hope I keep doing interesting work in the future. – Namrata Rao
Best Special Effects
The Karbonn Mobiles 17th Annual Star Screen Award for Best Special Effects went to Srinivas Mohan for Robot.
Thank you so much,Screen. This award will definitely help the Indian visual effects industry gain recognition. When I informed director Shankar about this special win for Robot,he was very happy to hear about it. It was a great show and I loved every minute of being a part of it. Thank you once again. – Srinivas Mohan
The Karbonn Mobiles 17th Annual Star Screen Award for Best Sound went to Vikram Joglekar for Road,Movie.
This award is an acknowledgment of Dev Benegals commitment to sound in his films. The soundtrack was a
collaborative effort and I share this award with other illustrious members of the sound team. P M Satheesh and Shajith worked on the sound design,Roland Vais and Sharon Smith did the post-production and Dom Tavella mixed the film. A big thanks to Screen, this encourages all of us to continue to strive for excellence. – Vikram Joglekar
Best Art Direction
The Karbonn Mobiles 17th Annual Star Screen Award for Best Art Direction went to Mukund Gupta for Do Dooni Chaar.
This is the first movie Ive worked on,so I didnt even have a proper team with me. I called my college juniors, trained them for a few days and used them in the film. They did some excellent work and this award shows just how special the entire experience was. -Mukund Gupta
