The verdict is out and the ecstatic winners of the Karbonn Mobiles 17th Annual Star Screen Awards share their sentiments.

Best Story

The Karbonn Mobiles 17th Annual Star Screen Award for Best Story went to Amit Pal for Road To Sangam.

I am very grateful to Screen for recognising this small film amidst so many bigger names, nominating and then awarding it in the category of Best Story. Interestingly, this is the 17th year of the Screen awards and it also happens to be the 17th award my film has won worldwide. This is also my first ever award in 15 years in my profession where I have been involved in Marathi theatre and assisted on films like Tingya. – Amit Pal

Best Screenplay

The Karbonn Mobiles 17th Annual Star Screen Award for Best Screenplay went to Anjum Rajabali and Prakash Jha for their film,Raajneeti.

It is almost impossible to compare, much less grade, one script against another. On top of this, the year had seen such a slew of such interesting scripts that I don’t envy the jurors’ task. I guess they had to choose one film, and we accept their decision graciously. – Anjum Rajabali

Best Dialogue

The Karbonn Mobiles 17th Annual Star Screen Award for Best Dialogue went to Habib Faisal for his film,Band Baaja Baarat.

When you’re writing dialogues, you like to stick to the space and characters of your narrative and hope that your audience understands what you’re trying to do. I am glad the lines ended up being humorous as they were written that way. Also,I hate the bank of readymade dialogues that we use in our movies.
